 Subject: APPROVAL OF FEZANA OFFICE LOCATION AND INTERIM BUDGET

 At the FEZANA AGM in Dallas, Texas on April 7, 2007, the FEZANA Members approved the establishment of a FEZANA office with a part-time administrator. 

  1. The Infrastructure Working Group (IWG) developed criteria for selecting the office location and a request for proposals was issued to interested Members on May 31, 2007.
  2. IWG received and reviewed proposals from Houston, Chicago, New York and North Texas Associations.  In July, the IWG made a determination that the proposals by Houston and Chicago met most of the criteria and should be evaluated further by the FEZANA executives.
  3. After deliberation, the FEZANA executives requested further information from Houston and Chicago, which was received in August.
  4. After review, FEZANA executives determined that the Zoroastrian Association of Chicago (ZAChicago) proposal offered the lowest cost and best options to set up the FEZANA office. 

RESOLUTIONS FOR APPROVAL

  1. Approve FEZANA executive officers’ recommendation to locate the FEZANA office at ZAChicago. 
  2. Approve a budget of
    1. $6,000 for initial set-up expenses, to be taken from the FEZANA Properties Fund, which has a balance of $10,000 (Included in the figure of $325,668 for General Fund in the 2006 financial Statement); and
    2. $1,500 per month for office expenses (rent, utilities and administrator’s stipend), to be drawn from the FEZANA General Fund.

FEZANA Members were requested to vote by e-mail to the FEZANA Secretary, Firuzi Poonevalla, by October 31, 2007.
